Lauren & Brian’s Engagement Session in Hoboken, NJ

Even though there is a lot of spontaneity with my work during engagement sessions and weddings, some careful planning makes the end result even better! I always appreciate and love to talk to my clients beforehand about many different things, such as style, personalities, their backgrounds, the bride’s hair and makeup, and the end-use of the images. These things are crucial to successful photography. I really do photograph from my heart, and having the opportunity to talk to my clients makes this so much better – and is the reason I love it so much! Lauren and Brian did give me this opportunity, and what I discovered is a really beautiful relationship, a sense of confidence, true friendship and love with one another.  We had a beautiful day in Hoboken, where they both live. There was a sense of quiet and calm, and I was so thrilled to be there with them. Lauren and Brian, it is such a pleasure to know you – I can’t tell you how excited I am to be photographing your winter wedding at The Venetian!!

Lindsay & Mike’s Personalized Wedding Guest Book

First, I have to say, I love this family to pieces! We’ve had unbelievably fun times, including two full days of engagement shoots: one day at the Jersey shore, and one day in Manhattan. It was Lindsay’s mom’s idea to have a variety of photos in order to put together a very personalized guest book for her daughter’s wedding. We had the beach and the amusement park practically to ourselves – and I was able to work on my whims and get to know a really amazing couple all throughout.  And, in New York, we went everywhere!  What a playground the city is :)   Below is the layout and design I did for Lindsay & Mike’s Guest Book that developed from our day at the amusement park and beach. The city photos were used for other goodies, which I will share soon. I know this Guest Book is something that Lindsay and Mike will look back on for years to come – and I’m so happy to have been a part of it!

What a great job I have :) Thank you Liz and Brendan – and I LOVED going to the Phillies game!! Can’t wait to see what we’ll do for your wedding at The Curtis Center in 2010!

I Really Love New York City!

Robyn and Andy are a quintessential New York City couple whose chemistry is obvious from behind the camera!  I completely enjoyed photographing them in Central Park for their engagement photo session, and Central Park is quite a playground for a wedding photographer. ‘Working’ with Robyn and Andy and their families will only become more fun with their wedding at the incredible Plaza Hotel this summer – can’t wait!!
